[Abdominal bruit associated with hypertension]

First cause of secondary hypertension is renovascular hypertension which presents abdominal bruit in 16 to 20% of cases. Its presentation in other contexts is rare and constitutes a diagnostic challenge. Diagnosis is made by abdominal arteriography which is the best method because you can locate the problem as well as intervene therapeutically with embolization of the aneurysme.
