Summary

Transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) significantly inhibits apolipoprotein M (apoM) and apolipoprotein B (apoB) mRNA expression in liver cells. These findings suggest apoM, like apoB, may play a role in hepatic lipoprotein assembly.
