Summary

This study details 18 cases of fungal infections in Australia caused by Cryptococcus neoformans and Cryptococcus bacillisporus. Cryptococcus bacillisporus was the predominant cause, particularly in rural Aboriginal communities, often leading to pulmonary lesions.
