Abstract:
To assess the sustainable development of livestock production is not only helpful to learn about the presentstatus of the livestock development, but also of great significance to predict the trend of the development of livestock husbandry and to stipulate the appropriate policies and laws in livestock husbandry. After summarizing and analyzing the present methods and theories adopted in the assessment of global sustainable development, and taking into account the characteristics of livestock production, the authors provided a new comprehensive assessment method and theory.
