Summary

Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) aided in diagnosing subtle cortical malformations in a young epilepsy patient. DTI revealed abnormalities missed by conventional MRI, improving diagnostic accuracy for refractory epilepsy.

  • Thin-slice T1-weighted imaging identified a thickened cortex with an indistinct gray-white matter junction.
