Background:

Sciatic nerve varices (SNV) are a rare vascular anomaly.
Diagnosis and management can be challenging.

Purpose of the Study:

To describe patients with SNV.
To highlight diagnostic and management pitfalls.

Main Methods:

Case series.
Pre-operative duplex ultrasonography.
Treatment via surgery or foam sclerotherapy.

Main Results:

SNV located below the popliteal crease, lateral to the small saphenous vein.
All patients experienced sciatic pain.
Foam sclerotherapy achieved complete symptom resolution in one case.
