Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the developmental changes in density and morphology of intramural nitrergic neurons in the porcine urinary bladder.
  • To analyze the maturation of nitrergic innervation from fetal stages to newborns.

  • Utilized whole-mount preparations of porcine bladders from fetal (60 and 90 days gestation) and newborn stages.
  • Employed NADPH-diaphorase (NADPH-d) histochemistry to visualize and quantify nitrergic neurons.
