Study of chorial villi formation and evolution

This paper presents the results of a qualitative and quantitative study of 76 human placentas from all ages of pregnancy, concerning the dynamic of development for each villous type (mesenchymal villi, stem villi, imature and mature intermediate villi and terminal villi). Percentage variations of villlous types emphasize the coorelation between the mechanisms for the villous development and loss, which provide the best villous poll required for every step in the evolution of human placenta.
