Abstract:
The erythrocyte membrane, a lipidic-proteic structure, conserves its architecture thanks to interactions that involve the protein-SH-groups and enzymatic activities that keep the phospholipid asymmetry stable. This peculiar organization is essential for the physiological fluidity of the red blood cells and helps to avoid microcirculatory alterations.
