Summary

A rare case of spontaneous pregnancy occurred after bilateral salpingectomy, a procedure intended to prevent pregnancy. This noncontinuing pregnancy resolved naturally, highlighting a unique reproductive possibility.

  • A healthy 38-year-old woman presented with a spontaneous pregnancy after undergoing bilateral salpingectomy.
  • Diagnosis was confirmed using ultrasound and serum beta-hCG levels.
  • The pregnancy was noncontinuing and resolved spontaneously.

Findings:

  • This case represents the first reported instance of spontaneous pregnancy post-bilateral salpingectomy in English literature.
  • It is potentially the second such case documented globally.
