Abstract:
Dental complications, one of the oral changes, that might occur due to long term hemodialysis therapy has discussed. Particular dental symptoms were increase tendency of dental caries and so-called dental erosion among hemodialysis patients and approximately 30% investigated in our epidemiological study. Intradental lesions such as narrow and calcification at pulp chamber and resorption at apical region of tooth, especially among primary hyperoxaluria, also recognized in radiographic pictures. Gingival hyperplasia were related to medical side effects and enlargement of maxillary and mandibuler bone, fibromatous ostitis, might be occurred as one of the bony change in dialysis osteodystrophy.
