Abstract:
Nurse executives of home health agencies do not need accounting degrees to direct quality care programs, but do need to understand financial concepts that will enable an intelligent dialogue with the agency administrator or chief financial officer. The author discusses basic financial management and how the nurse executive of a small home health agency successfully turned it into one of the largest home care agencies in Illinois.
