Abstract:
It is a review of the literature plus the description of the three cases of the skin and visceral cryptococcosis diagnosed after the histologic examination of surgical and biopsy material. As clinical diagnosis is difficult, the microscopy of glasses-"prints" from damaged organs stained with a black dye for a rapid revealing of cryptococci is recommended. An important role of hormonal preparations and antibiotics withdrawal is pointed out as their use activates the fungal flora.
