Abstract:
A clinical trial on Alprostan (prostaglandin E1) use for management of critical lower limb ischemia (Fontaine-Pokrovsky stages III and IV of chronic limb ischemia) was carried out in A. V. Vishnevsky Institute of Surgery from March, 2003 till April, 2004. The study aimed at appraisal of Alprostan effectiveness (administered alone or combined with reconstructive interventions) in coping with critical ischemia in patients with lower limb arterial occlusive lesions.
