Elevated serum Interleukin-16 (IL-16) levels are found in allergic rhinitis patients, particularly those sensitive to house dust mites. Nasal mucosa lymphocytes and gland cells contribute to this IL-16 increase, suggesting its role in allergic rhinitis development.
