  • To determine the nature and extent of occupational injuries in Ghana.
  • To compare occupational injury rates and characteristics between urban and rural populations.
  • To identify high-risk occupations and injury types for intervention planning.

  • Household interviews were conducted with 21,105 individuals across 431 urban and rural sites in Ghana.
  • Data collected included details on occupational injuries, their causes, outcomes, and associated costs.
