1Gynécologue - andrologue sexologue, Paris.
Abstract:
Erectile dysfunction, a global health problem, has to must be considered not only as a consequence of vascular and/or psychological and/or neurological but also as the cause of a psychobehavioural disorder. The general practitioner has to screen for erectile dysfunction, prescribe treatment and its follow-up (patient's compliance, check the efficacy and tolerance) and, when necessary, explain and show the patient how to self-administer the intracavernous injections of alprostadil alfadex, which are a safe and efficient alternative.
