Abstract:
A case of arteriovenous fistula (AVF) arising in the auricle was presented together with its treatment. A 20-year-old man with an AVF on the right auricle was successfully treated with superselective embolization followed by ligation of the arteries supplying the fistula. The lesion underwent considerable regression within a follow-up period of five months and no complications were encountered. Small AVFs existing among several vessels can be satisfactorily treated by embolization and ligation of the vessels instead of extensive resection of the lesion.
