Validity of a single-visit protocol to estimate the maximum lactate steady state

A new single-visit method for determining maximum lactate steady state (MLSS) significantly underestimates actual MLSS values in endurance runners. This method is not a reliable substitute for the traditional, multi-visit protocol for assessing exercise intensity.
