Summary

This study forecasts acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) deaths and prevalence in Australia, projecting 530-680 deaths and 1370-1850 living with AIDS by mid-1992. Improved survival due to zidovudine is noted, but recent death rate increases warrant monitoring.
