A survey was distributed to program directors of hospital-sponsored radiography programs accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.
Data from 201 program directors were collected and analyzed, including demographic information for comparative purposes.

Over 90% of surveyed program directors anticipate their programs will remain viable in the next five years, suggesting a potential stabilization in program closures.
Financial concerns were identified as a significant risk factor by a majority of program directors.
