Abstract:
Sleep laboratory testing with nocturnal and daytime polysomnography is an indispensable procedure for the evaluation of patients with sleep-disordered breathing, pathological excessive daytime sleepiness, and complex motor disorders. Titration of positive airway pressure apparatuses should be performed in conjunction with polysomnography. A sleep laboratory test yields best results when the procedure is based on proper clinical evaluation of the disorder.
