Summary
Tc-99m dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) scintigraphy and Tc-99m mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) dynamic renal scintigraphy are comparable for assessing kidney lesions and differential function. Both methods provide similar results for evaluating kidney morphology and function.

Background:
- Tc-99m dimercaptosuccinic acid (DMSA) scintigraphy is the gold standard for evaluating renal parenchymal lesions and differential kidney function.
- Dynamic renal scintigraphy using Tc-99m mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) is primarily used for assessing ren al drainage.
Purpose of the Study:
- To evaluate the efficacy of Tc-99m mercaptoacetyltriglycine (MAG3) dynamic renal scintigraphy in assessing parenchymal lesions and differential kidney function.
- To compare the diagnostic accuracy of MAG3 scintigraphy with the reference standard DMSA scintigraphy for these purposes.
