Abstract:
The rare case of an asymptomatic megaureter in a young woman demonstrates that laparoscopy can be helpful in the differential diagnosis for unknown retroperitoneal masses. The accurate dissection of the retroperitoneal structures together with a thorough knowledge of the retroperitoneal anatomy should always be considered in these cases.
