Abstract:
Home care is a reality in Brazil. The professionals introduce in the context of the person and the family which demands the need to develop new competencies. The objective of this paper is to demonstrate psychosocial competence to the professionals who works in home care. The general and specific professional competencies in home care are showed in order to prepare them to make psychosocial interventions. The professionals challenge is to know the conceptual bases of the psychosocial model and to train on it to work with the different situations that occur in home context.
