[Multiprofessional team work in CAPS III: one challenge]

This is a qualitative research was carried out with the aim of understanding the dynamics of labor relationships and the identification of the facilities and difficulties in the work performed by a multiprofessional team in CAPS III Santo André, São Paulo, a mental health outfit which gives total assistance to patients with severe and persistent mental disturbances. Results indicate the necessity of team meetings, organization, as well as individual and collective reflection. Setbacks were the superficiality, dispersion and the difficulty of each team member to overcome their own personal points of view about the work. Facilities and difficulties enabled reflections about the transition moment of the assistance model.
