Abstract:
As part of prenatal care, vaginal gram-stained smear was evaluated on 318 pregnant women at our hospital. Nugent's scoring was done by Gram staining, and in comparison with normal score group and high score group, the incidence of perinatal abnormalities was higher to the latter group. Therefore, routine examination of vaginal gram-stained smear is recommended in pregnant woman.
