Summary

New tuberculosis vaccines are needed as the current Mycobacterium bovis bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine has limited effectiveness. Promising candidates are emerging, offering hope for improved protection against tuberculosis and aiding eradication efforts.
