Summary

A rare neck mass in a 36-year-old female was diagnosed as Castleman's disease. Surgical resection offers the best cure for this unicentric vascular tumor, with long-term monitoring advised.

  • The mass was located in the anterior triangle of the neck, deep to the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

Observation:

  • The tumor was successfully treated with pre-operative embolization and complete surgical resection.

Findings:

  • Histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of Castleman's disease, specifically the unicentric hyaline vascular subtype.
  • Castleman's disease is an uncommon etiology for neck masses.

Implications:

  • Surgical resection is the primary curative treatment for unicentric Castleman's disease.
