Background:

  • Digital in-line holographic microscopy (DIHM) offers potential for high-resolution imaging.
  • Improving the resolution of DIHM is crucial for advanced applications.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To demonstrate a method for significantly increasing the numerical aperture and resolution in DIHM.
  • To explore the use of high refractive index media for enhanced imaging.

Main Methods:

  • Utilized latex beads as test samples.
  • Employed a high refractive index medium within the optical path of the DIHM setup.
  • Investigated the effect of the medium on effective wavelength and numerical aperture.

Main Results:

  • Achieved a considerable increase in numerical aperture and resolution.

Related Experiment Videos
