Abstract:
The paper presents cavitation noise spectrum measurements results for water and a water solution of polyacryloamide with the 1.5x10(7) g mol(-1) particle mass. Cavitation noise spectrum characteristics were shown for different ultrasound intensity, with different sonification times (at a constant ultrasound intensity) as well as characteristics which enable comparing particular sonification parameters.

Molecular Weight of Step-Growth Polymers
As the step-growth polymerization involves step-wise condensation of monomers, the molecular weight also builds up eventually. Consequently, high molecular weight polymers are obtained at the late stages of the polymerization, where 99% of monomers have been consumed.
