Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) may reduce immune activation in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). This study found reduced inflammatory markers after CRT, suggesting a potential anti-inflammatory effect of this heart failure treatment.

- No significant changes were noted in IL-1beta, TNF-alpha, IL-10, or complement activation products.

- CRT appears to reduce peripheral markers of immune activation in CHF patients.
- These findings suggest a potential anti-inflammatory role for CRT in heart failure management.
- Larger studies are needed to confirm these preliminary results.
