Summary

Severe hypokalemia caused acute quadriparesis in a young woman. This condition resolved with potassium correction and was linked to Glycyrrhiza glabra in alternative infertility medication.

  • A detailed history revealed recent discontinuation of alternative infertility medication containing Glycyrrhiza glabra.
  • The patient's clinical presentation and history strongly suggest Glycyrrhiza glabra-induced hypokalemia.
