Enhanced endothelial function and abnormal vasodilation contribute to vaso-vagal syncope in young individuals. This study highlights the role of increased vagal activity and peripheral vascular changes in syncope development.

- Patients with syncope exhibited significantly higher HRV parameters, indicating increased vagal activity.
- Flow-mediated dilation (FMD) was significantly greater in syncope patients compared to controls (9.2% vs. 4.6%).
- No significant difference in GTN response was observed between groups.
Conclusions:
- Augmented endothelial function and abnormal peripheral vasodilation are implicated in vaso-vagal syncope.
- Increased vagal tone and associated bradycardia contribute to syncope development in young subjects.
