Effect of challenge method on sensitivity, reactivity, and maximal response to methacholine

Summary

The tidal breathing method yields lower methacholine sensitivity (PC20) values than the dosimeter method. However, both methods similarly assess airway reactivity and maximal response in asthma patients.
