Cardiac autonomic dysfunctions in chronic refractory epilepsy

Autonomic dysfunction (AD) affects over half of patients with chronic refractory epilepsy, increasing mortality risk. Longer epilepsy duration correlates with more severe AD, but antiepileptic drugs showed no significant impact.
