Summary

Facial infiltrative lipomatosis is a rare condition. MRI is the best imaging technique for evaluating its extent and characteristics, aiding in diagnosis.

  • CT demonstrated heterogeneous fat density; MRI provided superior delineation and characterization.

  • Facial infiltrative lipomatosis is a differential diagnosis for unilateral pediatric facial swelling.
  • MRI is the most effective imaging modality for assessing the extent of the process.
