Summary

Aggressive periodontitis involves higher levels of T-suppressor/cytotoxic (CD8+) and B cells in the gingival crevice. This finding supports a distinct immune response in aggressive periodontitis (LAP/GAP) compared to chronic periodontitis (CP) and healthy controls.
