Average volume-assured pressure support in obesity hypoventilation: A randomized crossover trial

Average volume-assured pressure support (AVAPS) improved ventilation quality in obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS) patients. While AVAPS enhanced carbon dioxide removal, it did not further improve sleep quality or health-related quality of life compared to standard bilevel pressure ventilation.
