The Educational Scholars Fellowship Program (ESFP) was established in 2003.

To describe the evolution of a multi-institutional faculty development program.
To highlight the strengths and impact of the ESFP.
To present a flexible model for faculty educator development.

The ESFP evolved from a single-institution program to a multi-institutional model.
The program involves three health professions schools: Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas Medical School at Houston, and The University of Texas Dental Branch.
