B-type natriuretic peptide in reversible myocardial ischaemia

Patients with exercise-induced myocardial ischemia have higher N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) levels. However, exercise does not cause exaggerated NT-proBNP secretion in these patients, despite higher baseline levels.
