Summary
Central serous chorioretinopathy can present with sub-retinal exudation, mimicking other conditions. Prompt photocoagulation of leakage spots led to visual recovery in this case.

Background:
- Central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) is a condition affecting vision, primarily in middle-aged men.
- Characterized by fluid accumulation under the retina, leading to visual disturbances.
Observation:
- A 37-year-old male presented with bilateral decreased visual acuity and metamorphopsia.
- Examination revealed sub-retinal yellowish exudation and serous retinal detachments.
- Fluorescein angiography showed hyperfluorescence spots indicative of leakage.
Findings:
- Photocoagulation treatment was applied to the leakage spots in both eyes.
- The patient experienced visual recovery and lesion remission within six months.
- The clinical presentation, despite sub-retinal exudation, ultimately supported a diagnosis of CSC, ruling out Best's disease.
Implications:
- Sub-retinal yellowish exudation in the posterior pole does not exclude a diagnosis of central serous chorioretinopathy.
- Early diagnosis and targeted photocoagulation can lead to favorable visual outcomes in CSC.
