[Mini-laparotomy in surgical treatment of cholelithiasis]

Current laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LCE) is the method of choice in surgical treatment of cholelithiasis. Before 1999 in contraindications for LCE, classic cholecystectomy was performed. Since 2000 a mini-invasive method of cholecystectomy is used. Overall 168 cholecystectomies through mini-laparotomy were performed with good results. Cholecystectomies through mini-laparotomy may be realized in any form of cholelithiasis. This method has advantages and disadvantages, and may be regarded as alternative method when LCE is contraindicated.
