The lateral view of the cranium is dominated by temporal, sphenoid, and ethmoid bones.
The temporal bone forms the lower lateral side of the skull. The temporal bone is subdivided into several regions. The flattened upper portion is the squamous portion of the temporal bone.     Background:

    • Primary central nervous system (CNS) lymphoma incidence is rising.
    • Skull base involvement by Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) is uncommon.
    • Diagnosis can be delayed in immunocompetent patients without predisposing factors.

    Observation:

    • Four cases of sinonasal NHL with skull base and intracranial extension in immunocompetent individuals are presented.
    • Clinicopathologic correlation was performed.
    • Patients had no prior history or risk factors.

    Findings:

    • Cranial base and intracranial NHL suggests advanced primary sinonasal disease.
    • Surgical biopsy is recommended prior to definitive treatment.
    • Radiation therapy offers local control for sinonasal NHL.

    Implications:

    • Timely diagnosis and surgical intervention are vital for managing advanced sinonasal NHL.
    • Adjuvant chemotherapy may be necessary for recurrent disease post-radiation.
    • Further research into early detection and treatment strategies for rare CNS lymphomas is warranted.
