Chlamydiae in free-ranging and captive frogs in Switzerland

Chlamydia bacteria were detected in Swiss frogs, including new species like Chlamydia suis S45 and Chlamydophila abortus S26/3. However, no link was found between these Chlamydia infections and a 1991/1992 frog mass mortality event.
