Intramolecular Claisen Condensation of Dicarboxylic Esters: Dieckmann Cyclization
Dieckmann cyclization is an intramolecular Claisen condensation of diesters. The reaction occurs in the presence of a base and generates a cyclic β-ketoester as the final product.
