Intravenous immunoglobulins improve the function and ameliorate joint involvement in systemic sclerosis: a pilot

Intravenous immunoglobulin therapy significantly improved hand function and reduced joint pain in systemic sclerosis patients with severe joint involvement. This treatment offers a potential option for patients unresponsive to other therapies.

- Cost may restrict IVIg use to patients refractory to disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs.
