Abstract:
At the present time, HIV infection occurs mainly as a sexually transmitted disease everywhere in the world as 75-80% HIV contagion occurs by this means. Although 40-70% of cases of HIV infection continues to occur among young male homosexuals, the annual incidence in new cases by which HIV is transmitted through heterosexual contact is undergoing a constant increase throughout the world, especially among females; 40% in males and close to 80% of the new infections by heterosexual contact in females. The findings make obvious the need to insist on preventive measures as the only way to stop this means of HIV transmission.
