Surgery, using plates, nuts and bolts, for pelvic fracture reductions in two cats

Abstract:
Pelvic fractures were repaired in two cats, following the failure of initial surgical reductions. The second surgeries in both animals involved the application of bone plates using nuts and bolts. A lateral plate was used to replace wire for cat I and a ventral plate was used to spread the pelvis in the second cat after screws had failed to hold a plate on the ilium.
