Summary
Heparanase and hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha (HIF-1alpha) are frequently found in gallbladder cancer and linked to poorer survival. High heparanase, with nuclear transcriptional factor kappa B p65 (NF-kappaB p65), may drive gallbladder cancer invasion and metastasis.
